Every Winter, I Hibernate

“I just need to log off!” Frustration overcame me and in a frantic mess, I deactivated all my social media accounts. For two months, I was present, focused, and falling back in love with life.

It hit me. This reoccurring feeling overwhelmed during Fall and Winter. The one thing I thought of doing, was to remove the thing that took away my attention the most- social media. At first, I thought I needed to delete it all together but eventually learned to make it a ritual. My yearly ritual where I pause, step away, and sink into my soul ~ following along with nature.

Nourishing Meals ~ Time to Create, just because ~ Re-Aligning

This hibernation period is a chance for me to simplify life, not overcomplicate things, and find balance for myself. While in previous years it was tied a lot to social media and taking a break, I’ve decided to do things different for 2025. A big part of this is honoring my intuition. And in October I felt the nudge to actually leave Instagram. I didn’t delete my account, however, I decided not to actively be on that platform. I’m still using other media outlets, except I’m moving slower, more intentionally.

What I’m Craving

  • more in person

  • more depth

  • mindfulness

  • Spiritual connection (boundaries around outside noise, opinions)
